Kharar, July 8: FREE media is essential in developing a civilised society as it is a mirror of the society, which shows the face of the country, its government and administration to the public, said SAS Nagar Deputy Commissioner Tejveer Singh here today.

He was addressing local journalists and officials after inaugurating the office of Kharar unit of Chandigarh-Punjab Union of Journalists (CPUJ- affiliated to Indian Journalists’ Union -IJU).

Responding to the demand of CPUJ Kharar unit, he announced that a modern press room would be established in Kharar in consultation with the Information and Public Relations Department, after selecting a suitable piece of land.

Unveiling major development plans for Kharar, he announced that work on new the bus stand, sports stadium, modernisation of the SDM office and Tehsil offices, computerisation of revenue land records and four-laning of Kharar-Banur-Tepla Road would begin soon.

He said Kharar would soon emerge as the most developed and independent suburb of Chandigarh due to its geographical importance.

After honouring the DC with a shawl and a memento on his first visit to Kharar, CPUJ local general secretary Darshan Singh Sodhi and president Devinder Singh Chauhan welcomed and thanked the DC. Kharar SDM Darshan Sandhu and DPRO Uma Sharma also spoke on the occasion.

RTI will be implemented in toto in SAS Nagar district: DC
KHARAR: SAS Nagar Deputy Commissioner Tejveer Singh announced in Kharar on Saturday that the Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005, will be implemented in letter and spirit in SAS Nagar district.

He mentioned that recently the denial of information by District Revenue Officer of Mohali (who was earlier posted in Ropar) to a local journalist had invited the wrath of the Punjab State Information Commission and directed all officials in SAS Nagar district to honour the queries made under the RTI Act.

    CONSPIRACY AGAINST “NRIs” AND “PIOs”

Re: “Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs” letter to
    chief secretaries of Indian States.

    Dear Sirs,

I am drawing your attention to the following facts
about “MOIA” letters sent to chief secretaries.
    (visit the “MOIA” site)

The letters(2) have been sent to chief secretaries of
    1. Punjab, Haryana and Delhi
    2. Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujerat, Kerala, Karnatka,
    Tamilnadu and Andhra Pardesh.

The following states have been neglected; as if there is
no such problem, or no NRIs exists in those states.
    U.P., Bihar, Bengal, Madhya-Pardesh, Assam,
    Orrisa, Jharkhand, Pondichery, Goa, Arunachal,
Mizoram, J&K, Utranchal, Himachal and Sikkim.

Where as CHANDIGARH Conference on 19-21 JUNE had only
PUNJAB + HARYANA + DELHI CHIEF MINISTERS + NCW CHAIRPERSON
(ALL CONGRESS)having FANFARE with “MOIA” and figuring out
Punjab registered cases being 15000 in numbers without
giving any numbers from Delhi and Haryana who participated.
Leave aside other states for which no numbers were given by
    Chairperson Girja Vyas.

IS IT CONSPIRACY AGAINST SIKHS OF PUNJAB WHO FORM
80 PERCENT POPULATION AND ARE SUPPORTED BY MOST
“NRI” SIKHS FROM US, UK AND CANADA FOR KHALISTAN
ISSUE WHICH IS ON BACK BURNER.

DO THEY WANT TO ROPE IN THE “NRI SIKHS” UNDER FALSE
498A CASES IN ABSENCE OF “POTA” AND “TADA”.

SECTION 498A WHEN MISUSED: IS MORE DANGEROUS, DRACONIAN, FATAL AND LETHAL THAN “TADA” AND “POTA”.

I think, there is some Political Conspiracy against Sikhs with the
connivance of “MOIA” and in the process all the Non Resident
Indians are being targeted and blackmailed

    Please Think about it.

    Regards.
