    Dear Friend
I think RTI workshop is more needed to the clerks and officers dealing with RTI than onther persons. Recently I want some information by RTI act regarding PRI members. First the clerk who deals in RTI sent me to PRI dept saying that the form has to be submitted there. The Dist Panchayat Office refused that they have anything to do with it and sent me back to RTI dept. The clerk still confused sent me to Dist. Right to Information Officer, who than accepted my application, ( here I should mention that there is porblem in availability of forms). This experience still showes that, the govt. officials are still not comfortable with RTI act, even when the asked information is not about their department. So sufficient steps should be taken to give orientation to the low level staffs like clerks regarding RTI act.
